The original painting for this print was created "en plein air" (on location) in Encinitas, California in the winter of 2021. It was a quiet, foggy morning down at the beach, watching the early morning surfers. These reef formations are usually only visible during the winter when the tide is extremely low. I look at this painting and remember early morning walks and looking for crabs and other sea creatures in the tide pools.
